❤️ The holiday's roots can be traced back to ancient Roman times when February 14th was celebrated as Lupercalia, a fertility festival. It was later associated with St. Valentine.
💘 Cupid, the Roman god of love, is often depicted with a bow and arrow. He would shoot people with his arrows to make them fall in love!
💌The tradition of exchanging Valentine's Day cards can be traced back to the 15th century. The oldest known Valentine card is from the 1400s and is preserved in the British Library.
